"Pleasing in God's Eyesight"

Scripture: Proverbs 17:9 He who covers a transgression seeks love, But he who repeats a matter separates friends.

Meditation: We must learn to be peace makers and not peace breakers. Love calms and soothes differences. In the text the word covers means to forgive and forget, we must learn to
forgive and let go. Value your relationships with others, instead of pointing out their flaws ask God to fix yours. Love outweighs bad, so the next time you are in a heated argument STOP, DROP and PRAY! God loves us and He forgives our transgressions, we must do the same for each other. And that my friends is pleasing in God's Eyesight!

"STAYING ON TRACK"

Scripture: Psalms 37:23-The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

Food for Thought: To walk the right way, you MUST walk God's way. God is a God of order, anything else is chaos.

LET GOD ORDER YOUR STEPS!!!!!!!!

Prayer: Most Gracious Heavenly Father, we realize if our steps are not ordered by You we are walking the wrong way. Lord forgive us of our sins. Help us to stay on the right track, bless our families. Bring peace to all chaotic situations. We love You, in Jesus Name. Amen.

"THE GREAT I AM"

SCRIPTURE: John 14:6-Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life." No one comes to the Father except through Me

MEDITATION: Jesus is our way, truth and our life. There is only one way to get to the Father and that is through Jesus. Without Jesus we are lifeless, and living in deceptiveness with no way. Today let us thank God for Jesus! Let Jesus be your Way, living a life of truth. Have you tried Him?

NOBODY, CAN DO US LIKE JESUS!!!!!!!! THE GREAT I AM!!!!!!!

PRAYER: Most merciful God, thank You for Your son. Forgive us our shortcomings. Thank You for being our loving God. Continue to bless and keep our family and friends. In Jesus name. Amen.

"THE COMFORTER"

SCRIPTURE: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort... 1Corinthians 1:3

MEDITATION: In our most distressing and difficult times, God is our strength, protector, comforter, our ALL and ALL, our EVERYTHING. When you are in God's safety-net, you are safe. When you are in a dark place in your life, God can most certainly be a RADIANT LIGHT. Unlike human comfort which feels good for a short while, God's comfort is long term. God does not promise a life with out obstacles or hardship. But He does promise that He will walk with us through those troubled times. We can't always choose the situations that we go through, but we can choose how we go through them. Our ROCK, our SOURCE, our DEFENSE, our SALVATION, our REFUGE, our DELIVERER; He is our GOD! Hold on to God's never changing hand. Pray, Trust, and Believe that God will see you through.

PRAYER: God our Father, thank You for being everything we need. Forgive us of our sins, continue to cover our families. Bless our Nation and our President. We love You, in Jesus name. Amen.

"GOD IS FAITHFUL, LET'S BE THANKFUL"

SCRIPTURE: 2Timothy 2:13-If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself. (NKJ)

1Thessalonians 5:18-In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

MEDITATION: Today and every day let us thank God for being faithful when we are faithless. God blesses us in many ways, and in more ways than we know. In our eyes things may look dim and dark, but in God's eyes sunny and bright. We may not be where we want to be, but we are surely not where we use to be. Don't concentrate on what you don't have, but what you do have. We have God's Grace and Mercy that brings us through each time, and for that let us say THANKS!!!!!!!

BLESS OTHERS AND GOD WILL MOST CERTAINLY BLESS YOU!

PRAYER:
Lord, thank You for being faithful, and for every blessing. Thank You for blessing us when we simply did not deserve to be blessed. We just want to say thank You Lord. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Have a blessed and safe Thanksgiving.

"SPIRITUAL FITNESS"

"SPIRITUAL FITNESS"
Today's Scripture

1Timothy 4:8-"Physical training is good, but training for Godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come. "

1Peter 2:2-Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. (NLT)

Today's Meditation

Exercising is important and vital, but not as important as exercising your spiritual mind. Reading God's Holy Word is exercise for your mind and spirit. If we are not consistent at reading our Bible's daily, we begin to grow weak. We must read the Word to grow spiritually, in fact we should crave to read our Bible's daily.

Reading God's Word:

  • Builds a relationship with God

  • Builds endurance

  • Builds our faith

  • Fills us with peace that surpasses all understanding

  • Puts joy and comfort in our hearts

We are spiritual creatures at heart, our spirits are housed by our physical bodies. Let's do everything we can to keep our spiritual house in shape. In order to be strong we must build our spirtual houses daily.

READ YOUR BIBLE DAILY! GET FIT WITH GOD'S WORD!

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, forgive us of our short comings. Continue to mold and make us, and give us the strength to endure our situations. Thank You for grace and mercy, and most of all thank You for Your son Jesus Christ. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Have a great week! Q. D. Johnson

"THE DEADLY WEAPON"

"THE DEADLY WEAPON"

This Weeks Scripture

James 3:6-The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. (NIV)

Meditation

Out of the mouth can be love or hate, life or death. Why is it possible that out of the mouth we praise our Holy God with, we can tear down a person's spirit? The Bible speaks about the tongue and says that no man can tame it , and that it is unruly, evil and full of poison. What you say to others can have a lasting effect, whether good or bad. If you are speaking truth, it is the delivery that determines the outcome. Today let us speak kind and encouraging words to our brotherman. Let us build each other up and not tear each other down. Don't let your tongue spit fire, let your tongue be a river of flowing water that speaks life. Your tongue lies inside your mouth and at times can be deadly. Our God lives inside of us and He is ALWAYS refreshing and full of blessings.

Prayer

Most Gracious, Heavenly Father give us a heart like Yours. Teach us to speak life and not death, for we know that our words have power. Tame our deadly tongues, and forgive us of our sins willingly and unwillingly. Teach us this day to walk in Your ways, in Jesus name. Amen

How will you begin to use your tongue for uplifting and not down pulling?

"FAITH THAT MOVES MOUTAINS"

SCRIPTURE:

Hebrews 11:1-Faith means being sure of things we hope for and knowing that something is real even if we do not see it. (NCV)

MEDITATION:

Today let us focus on the possibilities and not the problem. Sometimes we are so busy concentrating on our problems that we forget who the problem solver is. That is where our faith comes in, we must know beyond the shadow of a doubt that our God will deliver. Each and every one of us are in a strenuous season and God is using this season to build our faith in Him. Adversity can be discouraging, but God uses it as a tool to advance our spiritual growth. Having negative thoughts can paralyze our faith, so don't look at the obstacle look at the opportunities. Whatever situation you are in today, you must speak life over it and see yourself out of it.

Faith treats things hoped for as reality! Faith moves God!
PRAYER: Dear God Almighty, we thank You for another day to open our eyes and see this day, forgive us of our sins. Lord build our faith so that it is unbreakable, shield our families with protection. Lord we love and praise Your Holy name in Jesus name. Amen.

PIT, PALACE, PRISON, PRAISE!

SCRIPTURE:

Genesis 39: 20-21-Then Joseph's master took him and put him into the prison, a place where the King's prisoners were confined. And he was there in the prison. But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. (NKJ)

MEDITATION:

There are often times when we think that things are getting better but they actually get worse. The life of Joseph is such a powerful story, because he had a dream that he would one day be ruler over many. Well you see, Joseph went from the pit to the palace to prison. But eventually after he had gone through test and trials he was ruler over Egypt, just as he had dreamed. We have to remember what God has revealed to us in the light still exist in the dark. The Bible tells us that God was with Joseph while he was in the pit, palace, and in the prison. Since God is never changing, that same God is with us in our "Pit Experience." God is molding and making virtuous men and women at this very hour, so right now your purpose for being in the pit has PROMISE. So when the going gets tough, the tough trust God. Just when you think everything is against you, that is when it is working for your good.

WHILE IN THE PIT PRAISE!

Pray for the victims who have lost family members to the fires in California, as well as the Astronauts that are in space. Continue to pray for our children and our school systems.

"CHILDREN, A GIFT FROM GOD"

SCRIPTURE: Psalm 127:3
Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him. (NLT)
Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it. (NKJ)

MEDITATION: Building a child's character starts at home. People that interact with your child daily also contribute to your child's character building. It is very important to monitor who pours into your child's life. Deciding what daycare or school your child attends is as equally important as who interacts and pours into the child's life. The saying "It takes a village to raise a child" is so true. That village may include, teachers, babysitters, God-parents, and sometimes neighbors. But the village must have Godly love and have a genuine love for children. God has graciously given us our children as gifts. The gift of a child should be cherished and appreciated. As parents it is our responsibility to nurture, teach, direct, discipline, and protect our gift. Often times we have to make sacrifices to make sure our children are well taken care of. It may be given up a career, relationship, personal goals or even hobbies. Spending quality time with our children are important as well. Anytime spent with the child can be considered "quality time," because it is giving them your full attention. Your child's greatest need is the security of knowing that you care. Give your child something that money cannot buy and that is your time. You will be building a lifelong relationship each minute you spend with your child.

HELPFUL TIPS:

1.Teach by your words, make sure they are kind, not harsh.

2.Teach by your actions, make sure they are wholesome and honest.

3.Watch your temperament, make sure it is controlled.

4.Pray for and with your children.

5.Teach them responsibility, and the importance of being honest.

6.Hug and kiss them often.

7.Most important spend quality time with them.

Today let us pray for our children. Let us also thank God for our children. Pray for individuals who have lost children and for those who desire to have children. Pray for teachers who interact with our children daily. For those who are looking for a daycare or school, Covenant Classical on Old Madison Pike is an excellent school. Call and ask for Jennifer 256- 837-5437. Covenant Classical School instills the importance of Godly love and Christian morals as well as educating your child. Have a blessed week! "FORGIVENESS"

SCRIPTURE:

Matthew 18:21-22 (New Century Version)

Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, when my fellow believer sins against me, how many times must I forgive him? Should I forgive him as many as seven times?" Jesus answered, "I tell you, you must forgive him more than seven times. You must forgive him even if he wrongs you seventy times seven.

MEDITATION:

FORGIVE-To pardon; to remit; to overlook.

When pride is present and all we can think of is SELF and they were wrong and not me. We can never forgive. When we are puffed up and holding on to how bad that person hurt us. We can never forgive. When we are plotting and thinking evil thoughts about that person. We can never forgive. Regardless of who was right or wrong, and how many times you have been mistreated, we are obligated to forgive. We have offended God limitlessly and His Grace and Mercy sustains us everytime. We want release from our hurt and bondage, but when someone offends us, we take days, months or even years before we forgive. If we are to be like Him, we should learn to forgive like Him.

TRUE FORGIVENESS IS LIMITLESS! HAVE YOU FORGIVEN TODAY?

Today let us be thankful for friends and family and to appreciate one another. The world we live in today is cruel genuine people are far and few, so let us learn to love and respect the people that are present in our lives. Pray for our teachers it is a tough job dealing with our kids. Show an act of kindness and let them know you appreciate them. Remember what you do for others God will make happen for you. Have a blessed week!

WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?

SCRIPTURE:

Isaiah 53:7-He was beaten down and punished, but He didn't say a word. He was like a lamb being led to be killed. He was quiet, as a sheep is quiet while its wool is being cut; He never opened His mouth.

MEDITATION:

The words, "What would Jesus do", are powerful. There are many times in our lives when our coworkers, family/friends crucify us with words or even say things about us that are not true. It is times like these when we should say to ourselves, "What would Jesus do." The flesh will tell you get even, say something back, you can't let them get away with that. Jesus was beaten, humiliated, laughed at talked about and was hung and nailed to the cross. With a humble heart he NEVER uttered a word back, in fact He prayed to the Father, "Lord forgive them for they know not what they do." When we are persecuted, humiliated, and talked about we must learn to remain silent and have a humble heart and pray for those who spitefully abuse and misuse us.

QUESTION: WHAT WILL YOU DO, WHEN YOU KNOW WHAT JESUS DID?

ANSWER: LOVE INSPITE OF!!!!!!!!! JESUS DOES!
I would like to thank everyone for the support and encouraging words, while I was going through my temporary storm. When going through it is uncomfortable, but it is called a process and without the process we cannot get to the promise. God is still on the throne and He has a plan. Pray for people who wrong you without cause, continue to pray for local schools, marriages, and our local churches and parents raising children. GOD IS LOVE!

HE IS WORKING IT OUT!

SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 55:8-"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the Lord. (New King James Version)
MEDITATION:
We may not get the promotion or raise we had hoped for, the loan didn't come through, someone lost there job, a husband walks out or what ever your trouble is today. At that very moment when these things happen we don't quite understand, we become angry bitter or even on the verge of giving up. God can see our past, future and present, He ALWAYS knows what is best for us. Although what we want may not be what we we need at the time and even though we can't see the outcome, the Bible tells us that God has us covered. Romans 8:28 says ALL things not some, not partial, not most but ALL things will work out. They may not work out the way we plan or the time frame we expect, but we know one thing is certain He will work it out and it will be for our good.
IT WILL WORK OUT, DO YOU KNOW?
I would like to thank everyone who prayed for my son Jayden last week his surgery was a success and he is recovering well. Pray for me as make transition to another journey in my life on next week. We are blessed regardless of what we are facing, God loves us and He will keep us!

GOD ALMIGHTY!

SCRIPTURE:

Amos 4:13-He who forms the mountains, creates the wind, and reveals his thoughts to man, he who turns dawn to darkness, and treads the high places of the earth- the Lord God Almighty in His name.

MEDITATION:

Is there anything too hard for God? Let us ask ourselves that question today. Many of us are trying to handle situations on our own, when in fact we are not capable of achieving the task. When we try to fight the battle with our human strengths, the situation seems extremely difficult and unbearable. God has created everything and he can most certainly fix anything. He will make a way when it seems there is no way and he steps in right on time. The same God that formed the moutains can fix broken marriages, homes, relationships and provide jobs to the jobless and be a friend to the friendless. He is an Almighty on time God and there is none like Him. Try Him!

Let go and let God!

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE!

SCRIPTURE:

1Samuel 2:2- There is no one holy like the Lord, There is no God but you, there is no Rock like our God. (NCV)

MEDITATION:

No one can love you like God can. When the world beats you up all day long, remember your God. For He is your your Rock, your Solid Foundation, your Sword & Shield, your Everything. He is not a sometime God, He is an All the time God. He loves in spite of our faults, unlike people. Holy is our God and that separates His love from any love you have ever experienced. God's love is never self-centered, and is always sacrificial. Lean on what is sure and true, the Rock for it is all you need! And that my friend is, JESUS!

DREAM KILLERS!

SCRIPTURE
Genesis 37:5
Now Joseph had a dream, and he told it to his brothers; and they hated him even more.
MEDITATION
Everybody is not going to celebrate your success, in fact you shouldn't expect them to. When God gives you a dream it is for you. Often times we find ourselves getting angry at our friends/family because they speak negative things about our dreams or success. The scripture says when Joseph told his brothers of his dream they hated him. People will try their best to kill your dream, just as Joseph's brothers tried to do. You may have to to jump over hurdles to get to the dream, but God promises to be there every step of the way. What God has for you is for you and what God has started in you He will complete.

NO PAIN, NO GAIN!

SCRIPTURE

Habakkuk 3:17-18
Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls- Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

MEDITATION

God wants to know if a situation gets a little heated, can you stand still and trust Him. As long as things are in our favor we are on fire for God, but when things get too hot the flame goes. When adversity comes don't look at the problem focus on an All Mighty, All Knowing, All Seeing and a Always Faithful God. Gain strength through pain and grow through grief, realizing that through these things God is blessing and building us. Faith is commitment to God, and believing that He does not make mistakes and He always come through. A proud person relies on his own power and accomplishments but a righteous person relies on God. Stand firm in the fire knowing that God has your back.

Rejoice and know that no matter what He is God!!!!!!!!!

LIFE

SCRIPTURE
Job 33:4 The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the almighty hath given me life.

MEDITATION

Breath is the air drawn into and expelled from the lungs; life. The word nephesh is another word for breath in the Hebrew language and it means soul; self; life; person; heart. We are merely breathing because of the breath that God has put in us. Breathing signifies life, and if you are alive and well today, praise God for another day, because some one did not wake up this morning. You may not have all the things that you desire right now, but today let's celebrate what we do have and that is life. Thank God for creating you and for breath in your body.

THE RULES OF LOVE!

SCRIPTURE

Colossians 3:12-14
Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.

MEDITATION

Today and everyday we should love our brothers, God commands us to. Let's learn to be patient and love in spite of. Remember to pray for your brother, they may not be where you are spiritually. God shows us grace and mercy daily and He is a forgiving and loving God. If your heart is tarnished, ask God to give you a clean heart. God forgives and loves us, you must do the same for your fellow brother.

MORNING WILL COME!

SCRIPTURE

Psalms 30:5
For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

MEDITATION

Sometimes in life when we step outside of God's plan and into our own, God must bring us back. The bringing back is never comfortable but in God's eyes it is always the best. You may be in a place where it is night time, but in God's time it will be morning. God is our strength at night and our joy in the morning.
