SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not get weary, They shall walk and not faint.
MEDITATION: I wrote a devotional titled "Delayed but not Denied", and a couple of weeks prior to writing the devotional I mentioned the re-opening of my salon. Delayed but not Denied was a personal test, for you see the moment God gives you a vision adversity comes in like a mighty rushing wind. Everything concerning the vision seemed as if it was snatched from my eyes of destiny. Prior to this painful event I took two major blows that left me heart sick and in need for major heart surgery. And just when I thought I could not take another thing, a punch came out of no where and this time it was a T.K.O. Just like Joseph I went from the pit to the palace and then thrown in a cold and dreary prison cell face first. My Friends, if you want to know the heart of a true friend see who comes running when you are at your lowest. I thank God that while the vision was temporarily delayed I didn't loose my mind. Waiting on God has renewed my strength and I will soar like an Eagle flying over the Eiffel Tower. I encourage all to wait on God and though it seems as if things are out of control they are actually moving according to plan and that is God's plan. So if things are delayed wait on the Lord and be of good courage. When you lean on God's strength your valley will be exalted and your mountains and hills will be brought low and the crooked places will be made straight, rough places smooth and the Glory of the Lord shall be revealed. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken. (Isaiah 40:4,5)

"WHEN IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE"
SCRIPTURE: Ruth 1:11,15 & 18
11-But Naomi said, "My daughters, return to your own homes. Why do you want to go with me?
15-Naomi said to Ruth, "Look, your sister-in-law is going back to her own people and her own gods. Go back with her."
18-When Naomi saw that Ruth had firmly made up her mind to go with her, she stopped arguing with her. (NCV)
MEDITATION: Often times we are led to do things that simply do not make sense to us. Or things happen and we wonder "how did I get here"? Things that don't make sense to us make perfect sense to God. He is the Author of our story, and He is doing a work in us and setting us up for a blessing. Even though the task seems ridiculous we must be obedient and sit STILL and watch God work. The story of Ruth is an example of faith, humility, patience and fully trusting God. Naomi was Ruth's mother-in-law, who had lost her husband and her two sons. Naomi could not bare another son for Ruth to marry so it baffled her why Ruth wanted to accompany her for she had nothing to offer her. Naomi finally gave in and allowed her to accompany her and that trip to Bethlehem changed both of their lives. This is a story of God's favor and what happens when we are obedient, patient and humble. The story began with a great lost, but ended with a tremendous gain for both Naomi and Ruth. When things make no sense to us we must trust God, for He is preparing our latter to to be greater.

"RECONCILIATION IS A MUST"
SCRIPTURE: 2 Samuel 9:3 And the king said, is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may show the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet.
MEDITATION: Saul tried to kill David, but after the death of Saul and his son Jonathan who was David's best friend whom he loved dearly rembered the covenant between them. Saul was David's previous oppressor, but David sent for his grandson not for retribution but for restoration. David restored the land and the servants of Saul to his grandson Mesphibosheth as an act of kindness and to keep the covenant he had with Jonathan. As Christians it our responsibility to reconcile with others even if they have caused us a great deal of grief. We must sow peace, not pain. Let us not be bound by anger, fear or hatred. Peace must prevail and we must move to reconciliation. God has redeemed and reconciled us to Himself, therefore as Christians we must reconcile with those who have oppressed us. Reconciliation brings peace, have you reconciled?

"YOU SHALL NOT BE MOVED"
SCRIPTURE: Psalms-62:6 He only is my rock and my salvation: He is my defence; I shall not be moved.
MEDITATION: Everything that could have happen has happen, but stand still and know that you shall not be moved. When you know that God is your Rock and Defense you will not be moved by adversity. Power belongs to God, trust Him. God is our Sun in the rain and our Shield in the battle. Your adversity is not meant to destroy you, but to promote you for the best is yet to come. When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Almighty God will raise up a standard against him. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. No matter what the situation looks like, delayed is not denial.

"JOY"

MEDITATION: Happiness sometimes depends on happenings. If things are going good for us then we are happy; if anything changes, happiness dies. Joy is deeper than that. Joy is inner confidence and well-being and only the Holy Spirit can give that. You can experience joy while suffering the deepest pain. Joy is not a result of outside circumstances; it is the result of conditions on the inside. Christian joy is inner peace that is so fulfilling. You can not find or buy joy, you must surrender to God and His will and joy will come to your heart.
The joy of the Lord is your strength!!!!! JOY, JOY, JOY, down in my heart!

"PAIN HAS PURPOSE"
Scripture: Romans 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Meditation: Pain purifies and keeps us humble and draws us closer to God. The deepest pains are not physical; they are emotional and spiritual. If we avoided pain we would never grow up spiritually. God is shaping us through pain, not to destroy us but to teach us discipline and strengthen us. God does not promise to remove our pain or relieve it but He does promise to transform it to work for our good. God will give us the grace we need to convert pain into strength and suffering into glory.
God has purpose behind your pain!!

"STAND STILL"
"STAND STILL"
Scripture: Exodus 14:13-14
And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will show to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more for ever. 14-The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
Meditation: When we are covered with hurt and disappointment and things seem impossible, stand still and God will do the possible. Giving up is never an option because God has a way and He always makes a way. Sometimes it is extremely difficult to keep pressing on when we cannot physically see it working out, but stand still. Even when we don't understand we must stand still. God's work is perfect and He will keep His people. The same God that parted the Red Sea, is working on your behalf and it will work out for your good.
STAND STILL, HOLD YOUR PEACE!!!!!

Scripture: Habakkuk 2:3-It is not yet time for the message to come true, but that time is coming soon; the message will come true. It may seem like a long time, but be patient and wait for it, because it will surely come; it will not be delayed. (New Century Version)
Meditation: There is always a determined time in the eyes of God, so my Friends we must wait for that set appointed time. While waiting we must know that God will deliver according to His perfect plan and purpose. Sometimes it takes a long time (in our eyes) to show His plans. This is called a test, God's testing reveals what we are really made of. When we realize that God is in control we will be able to rest well and not fret. We cannot rush our victory, or cut our growing pains. Things will happen when God says and not by our clock or calender.

"MY SOUL IS ANCHORED IN THE LORD"
SCRIPTURE: Psalm 37:24 Though he fall, he shall not utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with is hand.
Meditation: On a ship the anchor plays a very important part, for it holds the ship in place not allowing the ship to move. We are the ship Jesus is our Anchor and when trouble rise out on the water He promises to hold us in place. It is when you are anchored in the Lord that come what may you shall not be moved. One of my favorite songs is (My soul is anchored in the Lord), the song says "it keeps me steadfast and unmovable", that is our God. To be steadfast and unmovable you must have a solid relationship with God that includes fasting, praying and studying God's word daily.The scripture tells us that though we fall, we will not be down for the Lord will hold us up. That is encouraging to know and I encourage you today to allow Jesus to be your Anchor for He will hold you in place.

"CHARACTER AND INTEGRITY"
SCRIPTURE: Psalms 25:21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, For I wait for You.
MEDITATION: Character-distinctive qualities of a person or thing.
Integrity-State of being entire; an unimpaired state; honesty; probity.
These two words run hand and hand for without integrity, you don't have much character. God allows certain things to happen in your life to build character. True character comes when a situation rises and how you deal with it states the amount of integrity you have. We all know the right things to do and the things we should not say. Why is it so hard to do right? It is because we allow our flesh to totally take over our spirit man. If you want to know what is in your heart, listen to your mouth. Character is made by what you stand for and it takes time to develop whether good or bad. Before you can ask integrity of others you must attempt to be blameless yourself. Today let us ask God to continue to work on our character, building us to be what He needs and want us to be. Rest on God's promises; stand behind yours.
LET US BE MINDFUL OF HOW WE TREAT AND SPEAK TO OTHERS, GOD IS LOVE AND HE IS MEEK AND MILD ARE YOU?

"YOU ARE WHAT YOU THINK"
PSALM: 119-97 Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day.
MEDITATION: We must learn to set our minds on Godly things. When we focus on God, it is God in the morning, God in the noon day and God all day long. When we allow our minds to be stayed on Jesus we can love in spite of and pray for those who use and abuse us. Meditating on Jesus and praying keeps your heart and thoughts pure. If you are yelling and saying mean things to your friends or family ask God to create in you a clean and pure heart. We all have not so good days where we are frustrated but let us learn to keep our hand in the Masters hand for He is a heart fixer and our mind regulator. Don't allow unholy thoughts to fill your mind, because those thoughts will start to show in your living and how you interact with others. Be careful who you allow to speak into your life. Be sure to only let positive speaking enter your spirit and not negative. Everyone does not mean well, there are some people who are unhappy and their job is to make you miserable just like them. Don't let a day go by without keeping your mind stayed on Jesus.
Study scripture: (1 John 4:16) We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
LEARN TO LOVE GOD'S LAW AND MEDITATE ON IT DAY AND NIGHT!!!!!
LOVE IS A BEAUTIFUL THING, AND WHEN IT IS PRESENT IN A PERSON'S LIFE IT IS THE MOST POWERFUL MOTIVATING FORCE THAT EXISTS. GIVE LOVE TODAY!

"THE HEAT JUST GOT HOTTER"
SCRIPTURE: Daniel 3:17-If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnance, and He will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
MEDITATION: Last week we talked about how hot the heat was in our lives, but what do you do when the heat seems to be burning? The scripture says that God is able and He will deliver us from the fiery furnace and out of the kings hand. Each of us has a different fiery furnace, it may be financial diffuculty, lost of a loved one, a broken heart, sickness or whatever the case may be. I come to encourage someone today that our King Jesus is in control and though it seems we are burning He will not allow us to be destroyed by the fire. It may be hot for a little longer than we expect but we can't give up and we must not give in. The same God that delivered the Hebrew boys out of the fiery furnace will do the same for you. We must trust God and stop looking to man. Fiery furnace encounters will work to your advantage and you will become better wiser and stronger. When things seem impossile, God can come through with the possible.
LOOK UP FOR YOUR HELP NOT AROUND AND DOWN, TRUST GOD!!!!!!!!

The scripture says that God is able and He will deliver us from the fiery furnace and out of the kings hand. Each of us has a different fiery furnace, it may be financial diffuculty, lost of a loved one, a broken heart, sickness or whatever the case may be. I come to encourage someone today that our King Jesus is in control and though it seems we are burning He will not allow us to be destroyed by the fire. It may be hot for a little longer than we expect but we can't give up and we must not give in. The same God that delivered the Hebrew boys out of the fiery furnace will do the same for you. We must trust God and stop looking to man. Fiery furnace encounters will work to your advantage and you will become better wiser and stronger. When things seem impossile, God can come through with the possible.
LOOK UP FOR YOUR HELP NOT AROUND AND DOWN, TRUST GOD!!!!!!!!

"COMFORT AND RESTORATION"
SCRIPTURE:
Psalm-71:20-21 You have allowed me to suffer much hardship, but you will restore me to life again and lift me up from the depths of the earth.
21-You will restore me to even greater honor and comfort me once again.
MEDITATION:
Through hardship and suffering, know that God will comfort you and restore you and give peace that passes all understanding. While you are being consumed in the fire remember the Bible tells us that you will come out as pure gold. Although it seems hotter than ever, never let go of what God says about your life. You are being made, polished, shaped, and remember God still has a perfect plan. There is slight discomfort because God is shifting, removing and transitioning you to the next level of your life. Whatever your situation may be today stand firm in the fire and believe that God knows best and it is for your good.
GOD IS FAITHFUL TO HIS PROMISES!!!! LET HIM RESTORE AND COMFORT YOU TODAY!!!

"THE LORD YOUR GOD, GOD ALMIGHTY"
SCRIPTURE:
Isaiah 51:15-16-But I am the Lord your God, who divided the sea whose waves roared-The Lord of host is His name. And I have put My Words in your mouth; I have covered you with the shadow of My hand, that I may plant the heavens, lay the foundations of the earth, and to Zion, "You are My people"
MEDITATION:
On this day and everyday let us not forget who our Maker is, our Lord and Savior, our Redeemer. He has brought us out of darkness into His marvelous light. We must not put any other gods before Him. The Lord-All-Powerful, has allowed you to survive the storms of 2007. Although it rained in your life, you grew stronger and wiser. He has brought you to 2008 with a few bumps and bruises, but you made it. The God that clothed and created the earth has given you new life in 2008 among an array of blessings. Who is the King of Glory? The Lord! He is Strong and Mighty. The Lord He is Mighty in battle. He is our Rock, our Way out of no way, our Water in the fire, and our Strength in the pit. He is Holy, Mighty, Powerful, Creator of All things, the King, our Rock and our Sword and Shield. He is God, God-All-Mighty.
PRAYER:
Most Gracious Heavenly Father, thank You for our struggles and our setbacks. We don't always understand but we know You know best and You have the last say so. Forgive us for our sins. Continue to cover us with the blood of Jesus. In Jesus Name. Amen.
PRAISE PARTY "08" was a success and I would like to thank everyone who came out and those who were not able to come. God blessed the event and we were truly uplifted and encouraged. "WITH GOD THINGS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE"
SCRIPTURE:
Job 5:17-18 Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects, Therefore do not despise the chastening of the God Almighty. For He bruises, but He binds up; He wounds, but His hands make whole.
MEDITATION:
God sometimes allows circumstances to enter our lives but the God that allows is the God that fixes. Often times we think that we are in the worse circumstance ever but we must remember with God things are subject to change at any moment. Wait on God no matter what it looks like. For we know it is not what we see it is what we believe. When God allows a wound it is so He can make a cure, and He Always gets the Glory. It is good to know that God is the Author and finisher of our faith.
God corrects but He also protects, He chastens but He also comforts. Our Lord Our Saviour and forever Our God!!!!!!!!!
PRAYER:
Lord thank You for bringing situations in our life to strengthen our faith, and to build our Godly character. Thank You for Your grace and mercy. Forgive us for our sins, bless our going out and our coming in. Thank You for being in control of EVERYTHING, we love You. In Jesus name. Amen.

U-N-I-T-Y+ LOVE = GOD
PSALMS-133:1
Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brethern to dwell together in unity.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT:
In order for anything to be unified God must be at the top of the equation. God is a peaceful, merciful, and loving God anything else is not God. Today and everyday let us be in unison with our fellow brother whether it is at home, work, or church.
ONE ACCORD IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN DISCORD!!!!!!!
PRAYER:
